Section 1.1: The Power of Rising Early
Number 1:
This may not be the easiest change, but it is undoubtedly a transformative one.
Instead of hitting the SNOOZE button, initiate a countdown from 5 to 1 as your alarm rings.
The crucial part of this exercise is when you reach 1: you must physically get out of bed—not just sit up or dangle your legs over the edge. Stand tall, with your feet on the ground!

Section 1.2: Disconnect to Reconnect
Number 2:
Refrain from using any electronics for the first 45 minutes of your day.
No social media, no television—nothing that requires a power source!
This is essential because your mind can become cluttered with unnecessary information that isn’t relevant to your life.

Section 1.3: Connect with Nature
Number 3:
Spend 10 to 15 minutes outside while allowing those first 45 minutes to unfold.
Listen to the birds chirping and take a few deep breaths of fresh morning air.
Look up at the sky and notice the details you typically overlook because you’re “too busy.”

Section 1.4: Delay Your Caffeine Fix
Number 4:
Hold off on caffeine until after your first 45 minutes are complete!
I understand that you might think, “This is too much to ask; I need my coffee.”
But I believe in your ability to do this, and the improvements you’ll notice will make it worthwhile. (I promise!)

Section 1.5: Set Your Intentions for the Day
Number 5:
Take a moment to map out your day.
This simple act will enhance your efficiency and prevent feelings of being overwhelmed, ultimately returning your sense of control.
