When we lead busy lives without taking moments to appreciate our journeys, we can start to feel adrift, overwhelmed, and even discontented.

Not long ago, a wonderful client broke down in tears during our session. She had been striving to build her online business for months but saw no progress. In her frustration, she began comparing herself to her husband, who was thriving in his business endeavors. This comparison only deepened her sense of inadequacy, culminating in her emotional release.

Now, you might wonder, what is this transformative exercise?

All you need is a pen and paper. Light a candle or diffuse your favorite essential oil, slip into your comfiest clothes, and wrap yourself in a soft blanket.

Begin by writing down 100 things you appreciate about yourself, including your passions, the people you cherish, and what brings you joy. Don’t stop until you reach 100!

Many people find it challenging to list more than 20-30 items at once, and that’s perfectly fine. Take your time, relish the process, and uncover the little joys in your life.

For instance:

  • I admire my enthusiasm.
  • I appreciate my determination.
  • I value my generous nature.
  • I take pride in my wisdom.
  • I love dancing to my favorite songs.

  • I relish the flow of writing where time seems to disappear.
