In our fast-paced lives, it’s common to observe individuals striving hard just to make ends meet. I can certainly relate, as I find myself entrenched in this daily grind. As a 22-year-old college student, I should be reveling in life, yet I am balancing a demanding 45-hour work week while pursuing my studies in a bustling Indian city. I constantly juggle various responsibilities to manage my finances, tackle my debt, and hopefully save for future aspirations.
While I strive for these goals, I sometimes question whether I can truly find joy in this relentless pursuit. The straightforward answer is that, at times, I am unable to achieve both simultaneously. However, looking deeper, I realize I’m not particularly disheartened by my circumstances. I maintain a positive outlook and have set ambitious objectives for myself. Even though I currently feel distant from these aspirations, it’s the desire to reach them that motivates me to persevere.
Though it may seem naive to aim for seemingly unattainable goals, I know that if I dare to dream big, my determination will fuel my efforts. There are moments when I feel disheartened, especially when progress seems stagnant. Yet, it’s easier to rebound from those setbacks when I remember that aiming high requires fierce commitment and hard work.
